Caring for Your Cashmere Piece
Hand Washing
Fill a basin with cool water and add a small amount of cashmere-specific detergent. Gently submerge your garment and allow it to soak for 10–15 minutes. Avoid wringing or twisting the fabric. Rinse thoroughly with cool water until all detergent is removed.
Drying
After washing, gently press out excess water without wringing. Lay the garment flat on a clean, dry towel and reshape it to its original dimensions. Allow it to air dry naturally, away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
Storage
Store your cashmere folded in a cool, dry place. Avoid hanging knitwear for extended periods, as this can cause stretching. Consider using breathable garment bags and natural moth repellents such as cedar or lavender.
Pilling
Light pilling is natural and can be gently removed with a cashmere comb or fabric shaver. This process does not damage the garment and helps maintain its refined appearance over time.
Longevity
With proper care, genuine cashmere becomes softer and more luxurious with each wear. Treat your piece with care, and it will remain a cherished part of your wardrobe for many years.
